About the centre
Built around one idea: get the answer right, then explain it.
MD Diagnostics & Heart Centre started as a single-room pathology lab. It grew because people kept coming back — and because we kept picking up the phone when they had questions about their report.
Home/About
Our story
Eighteen years in the same neighbourhood.
We opened with two analysers, one pathologist and a promise that nobody would wait three days for a blood sugar result. That promise is still the operating principle.
Today the centre runs a full pathology lab, a digital imaging suite and a cardiac unit on one floor. Which means the sample you give at 8am, the ultrasound at 8:30 and the cardiologist's read at 9 all belong to a single visit and a single file.
What has not changed: the person who signs your report works in this building, and you can ask to speak with them.
How we work
Four commitments we hold ourselves to.
These aren't marketing lines. They're the things our staff get pulled up for when they slip.
Nothing goes out unverified
Every abnormal value is re-run on a second analyser and reviewed by an MD pathologist before the report leaves the lab. No auto-release.
The time we quote is the time you get
If a machine goes down or a sample needs a repeat draw, you get a call — not silence followed by a late report.
One price, told up front
The number we quote on WhatsApp is the number on the bill. No consumables charge, no report fee, no separate collection charge above ₹500.
Your report gets explained
Confused by an arrow next to a number? Message us. A doctor tells you what it means and whether it needs action — at no charge.
Quality systems
What happens to your sample after you leave.
A tube of blood passes through six checkpoints before it becomes a line on your report.
- Barcoded at the draw. Your tube is labelled in front of you and scanned at every station after that.
- Cold chain on transit. Home-collected samples travel in temperature-logged boxes, not a bag on a scooter.
- Daily calibration and controls. Every analyser runs two levels of control before the first patient sample of the day.
- External proficiency testing. We run blind samples from an external programme and correct anything that drifts.
- Critical values are phoned. A dangerous result reaches you or your doctor by voice within the hour.
- Records kept for 3 years. Ask for a trend of any parameter across your past visits and we'll send a chart.
